Job summary

Fowler Elementary District is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide occupational therapy services to students under OT supervision. The role supports children in special education to reach functional, developmental, and educational goals within the school day.

Requirements include an OTA degree, state licensure, and CPR/First Aid. Experience with school-based therapy and pediatric populations is preferred; the position is full-time with benefits and year-round service

Qualifications

• AA degree or higher in an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners OTA/L license.
• COTA certification preferred.
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Arizona Driver’s License.
• CPR & First Aid certification.
• Experience with diverse student populations.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations and present results to MET/IEP team and parents.
• Develop and monitor individualized IEPs and therapy plans.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as indicated on IEPs.
