BHcare Inc. is seeking a School-Based Clinician I to deliver school-based behavioral health services at Francis Walsh Intermediate School in North Branford, CT.

This full-time 12-month role supports children and adolescents within our Children’s Services program. The clinician will provide individual/group counseling, assessments, and evidence-based interventions (CBT, DBT-informed, trauma-informed practices) within an MTSS framework, collaborating with educators and families to promote student

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related mental health discipline.
• License LMSW or LPC-A; LCSW or LPC preferred.
• Connecticut School Social Worker Certification (071 endorsement) preferred.
• Experience in school-based, child/adolescent, or family therapy settings preferred.
• Knowledge of MTSS, 504 regulations, crisis intervention, and behavioral assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing emotional, behavioral, social, or academic challenges.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, social-emotional screenings, and treatment planning.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions (CBT, trauma-informed practices, DBT-informed skills, restorative approaches).
• Respond to student crises, conduct risk assessments, and coordinate safety interventions and referrals.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community providers to support student success and well-being.
• Participate in PPT, Section 504, MTSS, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Assist in developing and monitoring behavioral interventions and support plans.
• Provide parent education, family support, advocacy, and referrals to community resources.
