Job summary

The School Board of Broward County, Florida is seeking a Behavioral Technician to support students with behavior intervention plans in a school setting. You will collect data, assist in functional assessments, and help develop and implement behavior programs across individual and small group contexts.

Responsibilities include training staff, monitoring progress, and ensuring safety and policy adherence, with opportunities for professional development through ESE Department collaboration.

Qualifications

Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED.
Optionally an associate degree or 60 credits with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Collect data within the school environment.
Assist in data gathering for Functional Behavior Assessments.
Develop and implement behavioral programs including behavioral support and intervention plans.
Assist staff in implementing behavioral systems.
Shaping and teaching appropriate behavior to students.
Monitor data and share intervention recommendations with staff.
Supervise students during interventions.
Adhere to safety rules and school policies.
Participate in training programs to enhance skills.
Review current literature related to responsibilities.
