School-Based Behavioral Health Technician

Responsibilities

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) within the CSBBH Program provides therapeutic and case management services to children and families in settings such as homes, churches, community centers, schools, or other community locations. The care is child-centered and family-focused. The BHT functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality, medically necessary care is being delivered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field.
• Preferred: Two years of experience in the mental health field; not required.
• Knowledge of mental health and social service field; familiarity with community resources; ability to assess client needs and creatively seek appropriate services; efficient time management for flexible, non-traditional schedules.
