Job summary

Tree of Life Family Services in Loudoun County, Virginia, is seeking a Behavioral Health Program Assistant for its school-based TDT program. The role is 30 hours per week, Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a hybrid work setting, often remote for administrative tasks and on-site for school rounds as needed.

Active Virginia QMHP‑Trainee registration is the minimum credential; active QMHP or LIC/LMHP credentials are also acceptable.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia QMHP‑Trainee registration is required at minimum for this position.
• Active Virginia QMHP registration or LMHP/other qualifying Virginia credential is acceptable.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, human services, or related field

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing program support to counselors and assist with day-to-day operational needs.
• Review progress notes and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain trackers for counselors, clients, authorizations, and deadlines.
• Monitor upcoming documentation and program deadlines and send reminders to staff.
• Assist with referrals, intake coordination, onboarding, and program workflow.
• Coordinate with school social workers and school personnel regarding TDT services and scheduling.
• Conduct school rounds and counselor check-ins ~1–2 times per week.
• Lead or support family sessions when assigned and credentialed.
• Participate in staff meetings and required program meetings.
• Support professional development and onboarding for new counselors.
