Job summary

COMHAR is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Consultant for the IBHS program in the Philadelphia area. This per diem role focuses on individualized, person-centered behavioral support for children, youth, and young adults with mental, emotional, and behavioral needs, delivered in homes, schools, and community settings.

You will implement treatment plans, promote positive behavior, and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to achieve meaningful outcomes and community integration

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling.
• Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field.
• Individuals who provide ABA services through behavior consultation-ABA services shall meet one of the following:

Responsibilities

• Design and direct implementation of a behavioral modification intervention plan tailored to each child or adolescent and to family needs.
• Complete and conduct client assessments within 15 days of initiation of services.
• Observation of the child in school, community or home settings as part of the initial assessment.
• Development of the intervention plan and instruction to the treatment team in their roles and responsibilities.
• Collaboration with the interagency team so that the school, home and community behavioral plans complement each other.
• Regular monthly peer reviews with a licensed psychologist.
• Revision of the intervention plan as needed using the same methods as the initial development.
• Adherence to all paperwork guidelines for timelines, format and content as established by the unit guided by CASSP principles.
