Job summary

Oregon City School District seeks a 0.8 FTE Behavioral Skills Specialist to collaborate with school teams evaluating students with ASD and related social/behavioral needs. You will provide parent/school consultations on supports, social skills development, and educational strategies for children with developmental challenges.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of students with social and behavioral issues including ASD and related needs.
• Training and experience in providing school-based autism services.
• Familiarity with inclusive education strategies.
• Strong case management and interdisciplinary collaboration experience.
• Ability to conduct screenings and assessments related to behavior and learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist teams evaluating children with autism or social/behavioral challenges.
• Provide consultation to parents and school teams on supports and strategies.
• Deliver functional behavioral assessment (FBA) training and consultation.
• Support psychoeducational assessments and staff consultation for high-need students.
• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
