Job summary

BARRINGTON COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT 220 is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Hough Elementary School to provide behavior support within MTSS. The role works under a BCBA, implementing Tier 1–3 strategies, modeling routines, and assisting staff with data collection and problem solving.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, RBT certification or willingness to obtain, and experience with students.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or adolescents in school or youth settings.
• Ability to implement behavior strategies with fidelity.
• Ability to collect accurate behavioral data and maintain documentation.
• Commitment to CPI training and de-escalation when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Support MTSS and schoolwide behavior expectations.
• Reinforce proactive behavior practices across classrooms and hallways.
• Model routines and transitions to maximize instructional time.
• Provide BCBA-guided strategies to staff and students.
• Maintain behavioral data and assist BCBA with reporting.
