Job summary

Edmond Public Schools is hiring a Behavior Coach to support special education teams with the implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs) across various school settings. The role involves training staff, providing one-on-one support to students, and working closely with special education personnel. Candidates should possess a BA/BS in Psychology or a related field and have experience with behavioral challenges. Additional qualifications include a valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate and preferred certifications as a Registered Behavior Technician or in progress toward BCBA certification.

Qualifications

• One year of successful experience working with children with behavior challenges.
• Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate, special education preferred.
• Registered Behavior Technician certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-going consultation with site special education teams.
• Design and provide professional development for stakeholders.
• Support classroom teachers to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Implement behavior and crisis safety procedures.
