Job summary

Hartford Public Schools seeks a Behavior Technician – RISE Program at Bulkeley High School to implement a positive behavior management system and improve student behavior and academics. You will collect data, train staff in de-escalation, and support climate improvement across classrooms.

Responsibilities include data reviews, crisis support, and collaboration with the behavior analyst, principal, and ACES as needed. Bachelor’s degree required, CPI training preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college.
• Knowledge of FERPA and school policies preferred.
• Understanding of behavior management systems and CPI basics.
• Ability to document interventions using state/district forms.
• Experience with data collection and behavior reporting.

Responsibilities

• Record behavioral data accurately and timely as directed.
• Review data and notify supervisors of relevant information.
• Lead FBA interviews and prepare behavior reports.
• Support staff in implementing the behavior program and training.
• Communicate with staff, parents, and external agencies as needed.
