Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide individual and group counseling for K-12 students in district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will develop IEP/social-emotional goals, conduct assessments, and implement behavior plans within a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes data-driven, evidence-based practices, PBIS CASE framework, and collaboration with families and school staff to support diverse learners across SESI’s

Qualifications

• Professional licensure in clinical mental health fields (LPC, LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT).
• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
• 2 years of experience with children/adolescents in school, special education, or behavior health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Provide individual, group, or push-in counseling services to students per IEP or BIP.
• Collaborate on creating IEPs, including social-emotional goals and IEP meeting participation.
• Complete social-emotional and behavior assessments; analyze data to identify strengths and weaknesses.
• Develop BIPs and other transition plans; implement behavior management strategies as needed.
• Support social-emotional learning through targeted curricula and assessments.
• Collaborate with external partners and teams to support students, families, and staff.

Education

LPC/LCPC/LCSW/LMFT licensure

Master’s degree in social work or related field

Experience with children/adolescents in school/behavior health
