Job summary

Career Links is seeking an AAC Specialist (Speech-Language Pathologist) to support students with complex communication needs across a regional school-based program in Oregon. This role serves birth through age 21 with low-incidence disabilities, providing evaluation, design, and implementation of AAC systems.

Collaborate with educators, families, and districts to promote participation, provide consultation and professional development, and ensure services align with IEPs and funding processes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Oregon licensure or eligibility and CCC-SLP preferred.
  • Experience with AAC and Assistive Technology recommended.
  • Experience in school or educational service district settings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive AAC/AT evaluations and prepare reports.
  • Design, program, and sustain high-tech and low-tech communication systems.
  • Provide consultation, professional development, and coaching to school teams.
  • Collaborate with districts, families, and community partners to support student outcomes.
  • Assist with IEP development and funding processes.
