Job summary

Amergis is hiring a School Aide to support students needing instructional and behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department. The role may include helping with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as prescribed by healthcare professionals.

You must meet basic qualifications and maintain Ohio health standards where applicable. The position emphasizes adherence to professional standards, safety requirements, and age eligibility of at least 18.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
