Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Aide to assist students requiring instructional and behavioral support under the supervision of the special education department. The role may involve helping with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as defined by a rehabilitation health practitioner or other health care professional.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, compliance with professional standards, and relevant health screenings where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
