Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Aide to support students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department and teachers.

The role may include assisting with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as prescribed by health professionals, with adherence to all regulations and age requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification current if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Health certificate as required by contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements; 18 years of age minimum.

Responsibilities

• The School Aide works with students needing instructional or behavioral support under supervision.
• Provides assistance to students with personal, physical mobility, and therapeutic care needs as directed.
• Collaborates with the special education department, teachers, and supervising designee to implement plans.
