Job summary

Earlylearningleaders in Utah is seeking team members to support our school-age program. During the summer this is a full-time role, while the school year features a split shift before and after school.

You will assist with activities, meals, transitions, outdoor play, and field trips, keeping classrooms and buses clean, safe, and organized. We offer paid training, opportunities for advancement, and health insurance options, with a schedule that follows the school day and Monday to Friday

Qualifications

• Patience and dependability are essential in a school-age setting.
• Ability to care for and engage with school-age children.
• Strong organizational skills to manage transitions and daily routines.
• Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys variety and a schedule that follows the school day. During the school year, you’ll work with children before school, have a break in the middle of the day, and return for the after-school program. During the summer, you’ll transition into a full-time schedule filled with fun activities, field trips, and adventures with our school-age group.

What You Will Do

This role supports our school-age program. During the summer, this is a full-time position. During the school year, this is a split-shift position supporting before and after school care.

School Year Schedule

• Morning shift before school
• Midday break between shifts with opportunities to pick up additional hours by supporting our younger classrooms
• Afternoon/evening shift after school

If you’re looking for a schedule that allows for free time in the middle of the day while still working full-time during the summer, this position offers the best of both worlds. For those interested in additional hours during the school year, there are opportunities to support our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms during the midday break.

What We Need From You

We need team members who are reliable, flexible, and enjoy working with school-age children. Because this position follows the school schedule, applicants must be comfortable working a split shift during the school year.

• Available Monday through Friday
• Full-time availability during the summer
• Available to work before school and again after school during the school year (split shift), with the opportunity to pick up additional hours by helping in our younger classrooms during the middle of the day
• Able to work within our operating hours of 6:00 am to 6:30 pm as scheduled
• Comfortable being active throughout the day and lifting up to 50 pounds
• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Willing to safely drive a large vehicle transporting school-age children
