Job summary

Metropolitan Ministries seeks a dedicated staff member to support the CREATE program, providing a safe, engaging environment for children while assisting with administrative duties and site management.

Experience with school-age programming is preferred, bilingual (Spanish–English) is a plus, and a commitment to serving homeless families is essential. Training and career growth opportunities are offered as part of a supportive nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED completed.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Heart for ministry and comfort working with poor and homeless families required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate daily activities for the CREATE program.
• Assist the site manager with administrative tasks and lesson/event preparation.
• Supervise children and oversee groups; organize and supervise volunteers.
• Maintain daily/weekly administration (sign‑in/out, attendance, lesson plans, reports).
• Communicate with supervisor regarding any children’s issues; attend required trainings.
