Job summary

Metropolitan Ministries seeks a Senior Director, Children’s Programs to lead the CREATE Early Learning and Out-of-Schooltime initiatives, oversee Youth Programs, and coordinate Education Transition efforts for homeless families in the Tampa area.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation, and collaborate with community partners and grantors to advance outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, social work, mental health counseling, or related field.
• Graduate degree from an accredited university.
• Experience in early learning and/or out-of-schooltime programming.
• Knowledge of homeless issues; trauma-informed approach; willingness to pursue related education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the CREATE Early Learning and Out-of-Schooltime Programs to ensure quality care and compliance with licensing and accreditation guidelines.
• Support hiring, supervision, performance evaluations and training of staff in CREATE programs.
• Oversee Youth Programs planning, budgeting, data collection, grants, and KPIs; build partnerships with grantors and donors.
• Oversee Education Transition activities: school enrollment, transportation, uniforms, IEP/504 plans, and HCPS coordination.
• Ensure data tracking, KPI reporting, and trauma-informed staff interventions across programs.
