Job summary

YMCA of Superior California is hiring part-time School Age Leaders for our School Age Program. You will work with a supportive team to develop engaging activities, assist with homework, snacks, and enrichment opportunities for children.

The role emphasizes safety, supervision, and fostering social and emotional learning. Candidates should have at least 48 college units in related fields and must complete fingerprint clearance and a TB questionnaire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college units in ECE, Recreation, Developmental Psychology or related fields.
• Must pass Dept. of Justice and FBI fingerprint clearance.
• TB questionnaire required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement recreational activities, homework assistance, snack and enrichment opportunities for children.
• Supervise children and coordinate with the Site Director to ensure safety and proper supervision.
• Collaborate with staff to support children’s social and emotional learning.

• Teachers work closely with the Site Director to ensure the proper supervision of children.
• Responsible for planning and implementing recreational activities, homework assistance, snack, and enrichment opportunities that support children’s social and emotional learning.
• Minimum of 48 college units in ECE, Recreation, Developmental Psychology or other related fields; Under 48 units would require you to pass a school district para educator exam.
