Job summary

Old Colony YMCA in Taunton, MA is seeking a School Age Group Leader for the Out of School time program. The role supports before and after school hours, with a 7am start before school and dismissal-3pm to 6pm after school, to create a safe, fun, and educational environment.

The Group Leader assists with program planning, ensures EEC regulations, and helps supervise children under the guidance of the Site Coordinator. Prior of staff meetings, and routine bus monitor duties are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the School Age Site Coordinator the Group Leader will assist in supervising the program and ensuring a safe, healthy, and constructive environment for all children involved in the program.
• Ensure that all areas of responsibilities of the job reflect the mission beliefs of the Old Colony Y.
• Understand and ensure EEC regulations as well as Old Colony Y policies are maintained at all times.
• Assist with planning, developing, and implementing the program curriculum in accordance with EEC regulations and Old Colony YMCA’S policies.
• Meet with School Age Site Coordinator as directed.

We are seeking to employ a School Age Group Leader in our Taunton Branch location.

The before school program opens at 7am until school begins.

The afternoon hours are school dismissal-3pm until 6pm.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the School Age Site Coordinator the Group Leader will assist in supervising the program and ensuring a safe, healthy, and constructive environment for all children involved in the program. PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITY:

• Understand and ensure EEC regulations as well as Old Colony Y policies (Child and Youth Care policy, Child Guidance Policy, Health Care Policy) are maintained at all times.
• Assist with planning, developing, and implementing the program curriculum in accordance with EEC regulations and Old Colony YMCA’S policies.
• Meet with School Age Site Coordinator as directed.
• Ride as EEC regulation bus monitor to supervise the children to and/or from school
• Attend monthly staff meetings
