Job summary

Wonders Early Learning + Extended Day is seeking a dedicated Extended Day Teacher for the Bethesda site. The role focuses on quality after-school care, supporting school-age children with creative activities and emotional development.

As part of a collaborative team, you will implement Wonders curriculum, plan engaging activities, foster strong family partnerships, and participate in ongoing training. This part-time position supports our mission to nurture curious, responsible learners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience with children in an educational, recreational, or camp setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; BA/AA in Education or related field preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan learning activities that are balanced across areas and groups.
• Collaborate in team planning sessions with Program Director.
• Lead age-appropriate activities based on Wonders curriculum and philosophy.
• Maintain open communication with families and team members.
• Orientate and train new team members for center responsibilities.
• Participate in special events for children and families.
