Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before School Program at Candlewood Lake Elementary School in Brookfield, CT for the 2026-2027 school year. The role runs a morning schedule from 7:00 to 8:50 am and follows the school calendar.

The position is part-time and non-exempt, offering employer-paid childcare for children ages 5-12 and benefits such as telehealth, AFLAC, 401(k), paid sick time, and career development opportunities.

Formación

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
