Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for the Before and After School Program at Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus in Columbia, PA for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt position aligns with the school calendar and offers morning and/or afternoon shifts (Morning 7:00–8:30, Afternoon 2:45–6:00).

Ideal candidates are 18+, hold a high school diploma, have 2+ years of youth experience, pass background checks, and can provide a safe, engaging

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 or more years of experience working with children under 13.
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks.
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
