Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for the Before and After School Program at Crothersville Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The role is part-time, non-exempt with a pay of $14.50 per hour and operates around the school day.

Primary duties include running activities, supervising children, and maintaining safety and routines. Evening and morning shifts may be available, with employer-paid childcare benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience working with kids preferred.
• Required health clearance including TB screening.
• Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum.
• Provide a safe, healthy and fun environment and be a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines and program policies.
• Support program operations including attendance and staffing.

Schedule: Follows the school calendar
Morning Program: 6:45 AM – 8:00 AM

Afternoon Program: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Position Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
