Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a School-Age Childcare Assistant for the Before and After School Program at Crothersville Elementary School in Crothersville, IN, for the 2026–2027 school year.

The role is part-time, non-exempt and pays $14.50 per hour with a schedule that follows the school calendar: morning 6:45 AM–8:00 AM and afternoon 2:30 PM–6:00 PM, with potential for morning or afternoon shifts.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, etc.).
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and model positive behavior for children.
• Observe state guidelines and program policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing.
