Job summary

Caliday is seeking a Teacher's Aide to support the before and after care program for school-age children. You will assist the Program Director and School Age Teacher in activities, ensuring a safe, engaging environment and alignment with Caliday mission.

Experience in childcare is ideal; you will supervise activities, communicate with families, maintain classroom standards, and help with regulatory compliance and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications

• Assists with managing the program space and compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations.
• Provides a welcoming environment for children, parents and visitors.
• Implements age-appropriate activities aligned with the Caliday curriculum.
• Supervises children and uses Conscious Discipline for behavior management.
• Communicates with parents and provides regular updates on program happenings.
• Maintains open communication with team and school community.
• Keeps the classroom clean, safe and well-maintained.
• Identifies opportunities or problems and collaborates to resolve them.
• Maintains yearly certification requirements including CE credits.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities and/or problems and work with staff to resolve.
• Maintain yearly CE credits as required.
