YWCA Tri-County Area in Pottstown, PA is seeking a K-5 (School Age) Assistant Teacher for our STARS 4 Early Education Center. The role supports a safe, engaging learning environment for kindergarten through 5th grade students during school year and summer sessions.

Be part of a mission-driven team working to empower families and communities. The position requires 1-2 years of education-related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children.
• High School Diploma or GED; college credit in Early Childhood Education or related field, or CDA preferred.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Background checks required.
• Keystone STARS familiarity is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Ensure safety during all activities and supervise children.
• Maintain daily communications with parents through reports and discussions.
• Design activities tailored to age groups and developmental needs.
• Uphold hygiene, safety, and center policies in line with regulations.
