Job summary

Tacoma Public Schools is seeking a paraeducator to support administrators, students and families on campus. The role focuses on contact tracing compliance, office support, and general district duties, with a 0.70 FTE schedule and a 7.5-hour day on campus.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; related experience is a plus. Beneficial skills include strong communication, organization, and the ability to work with diverse staff and students.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent; one year related work experience and/or working with students and parents in a community or school setting is a plus.
• Experience with computers using word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications is a plus.
• Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and English usage.

Responsibilities

• Provides various support services to the assigned administrator.
• Ensures compliance with procedures and regulations for contact tracing.
• May provide school office support assistance.
• May assist in general building and District support including temporary student supervision.
