Job summary

STA is seeking a School Activities & Events Driver to transport students to sporting events and field trips. You will operate a school bus on set routes with safety and care, under a local management team’s guidance.

This part-time, on-site position requires 21+ years old, a valid CDL Class B or A with School Bus, Air Brake, and Passenger endorsements, and a DOT medical certificate. A minimum of five years of verifiable driving history is expected; paid training available.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B or A with School Bus, Air Brake, and Passenger endorsement.
• Willing to undergo paid Training with valid driver license.
• DOT physical examination is required.
• Minimum of 5 years verifiable driving history.
• No more than 2 moving violations and 1 preventable accident in the past 3 years.

Come join our team! As a Charter Driver for SchoolWheels Direct, you will be assigned to transport children to and from Sporting Events/ Field trips as needed. These folks will operate school buses for district Sports Runs with the possibility, if agreed, to work other driving duties as mutually agreed to. You will have the support of a dedicated, local management team and the training needed to perform your job safely, and with care. Charter Drivers are responsible for the safe delivery of students to and from school along set routes, adherence to school bus safety and bus stop safety standards, and daily vehicle inspections, among other duties.

Job Type: Part-time hours vary.

Requirements:

• Must be over the age of 21.
• Must have CDL Class B or A with School Bus, Air Brake, and Passenger endorsement.- Will consider candidates willing to go through a paid Training program that possess a valid driver license.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years verifiable driving history.
• Must be professional and punctual.
• No more than 2 moving violations and 1 preventable accident in the past 3 years
• Ability to adhere to all company safety standards and operating procedures.
