Job summary

St. Mary Academy in Sarasota, FL is seeking a part-time School Accountant (25 hours per week). The role reports to the Accountant, Business Manager and Principal, and supports overall accounting operations for the school.

Responsibilities include maintaining financial records, assisting with budget, managing A/R/A/P/GL and the FACTS tuition system, and coordinating with parents and admissions for scholarships. A background check is required to proceed.

Qualifications

• AA or BS in Accounting or Business Administration required.
• Minimum 5 years of related accounting experience.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and/or Sage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; confidential handling.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Catholic mission and background check required.
• Must pass Level 2 background screening.

• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (word, power point, excel).
