Job summary

Columbia Basin College in Pasco, WA, seeks a Foundation Program Officer to oversee scholarship programs, donor stewardship, and emergency funds, and to collaborate with campus partners to support student enrollment, retention, and completion.

This is a full-time position reporting to the CBC Foundation's Executive Director/CEO with a salary range of $69,441–$76,759 and an application deadline of September 13, 2026. CBC offers comprehensive benefits and an inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an institutionally accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of full-time professional experience in a student support, nonprofit, or financial aid setting; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience that includes experience providing student support services.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and,
• Valid U.S. driver’s license or ability to obtain one within two months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer scholarship funds, both annual and perpetual; process donations, monitor the scholarship program budget and forecast annual funding needs;
• Work with the Foundation team to identify, cultivate, solicit, acknowledge and steward relationships with scholarship donors; coordinate the annual Scholarship Reception;
• Implement policies and procedures for the scholarship and emergency fund programs; market programs to students and audit programs for relevance; evaluate programs annually and implement changes as appropriate;
• Create policies and procedures related to the scholarship database; train development staff, campus partners and volunteers on proper use;
• Design, disseminate, collect and review applications and awards scholarships based on criteria and committee recommendations;
• Recruit, train and manage a diverse pool of volunteers to review applications and coordinate reviewer recognition events;
• Communicate with scholarship recipients to confirm adherence to conditions of acceptance; participate in CBC committees;
• Provide foundation support to new initiatives as they arise; perform other duties as assigned.
