Job summary

Schlotzsky's is seeking crew members to join our opening shift team. You will be responsible for cooking all food orders in an efficient and attractive manner while maintaining a sanitary work environment.

Key duties include following standardized recipes, preparing meals, and ensuring top-quality plate presentation. You will work closely with supervisors and teammates to provide courteous service to guests and support a positive kitchen culture.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments preferred
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety guidelines

Responsibilities

• Prepare food following standardized recipes
• Cook meals according to menu and supervisor instructions
• Maintain sanitary kitchen and work areas
• Follow plate presentation standards
• Support supervisors and teammates as needed
• Provide courteous service to guests and maintain teamwork

Salary Range: $12.50 To $14.00 Hourly

This position is for an opening shift.

Role and Responsibilities

• Responsible for food preparation following standardized recipes
• Create meals according to menu and recipes as set by supervisors
• Ensure all food is handled and cooked in a sanitary manner
• Maintain kitchen and supply room in a sanitary and organized fashion
• Follow plate presentation specifications as directed
• Inform supervisors of any kitchen problems
• Maintain and promote a team environment at all times
• Provide courteous service to our guests and be cordial to all team members
• Follow company guidelines and procedures
• Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time

Job Requirements

• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers
• Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand up for at least an 8-hour shift
• Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment
