Job summary

General Dynamics NASSCO, located in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Scheduling Supervisor to lead the Scheduling Department. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and executing integrated production schedules for ship repair, overhaul, modernization, and maintenance projects.

The candidate will collaborate with Project Management, Planning, Production, Engineering, Contracts, and other departments to optimize resources, manage EVMS data, and ensure adherence to NAVSEA requirements while guiding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred.
• Five (5) years of scheduling, planning, project controls, production planning, or ship repair experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience using Primavera P6 scheduling software and EVMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the Scheduling Department to ensure project schedules are accurate, current, and aligned with production priorities.
• Assign, coordinate, review, and monitor the work of Scheduling personnel across multiple ship repair, overhaul, modernization, and maintenance projects.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, training, and performance feedback to Scheduling personnel.
• Support the Engineering & Scheduling Manager in planning workloads, priorities, and resource allocation.
• Monitor scheduling performance metrics, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
