Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Scheduling Representative to manage outpatient appointment scheduling across Primary Care, Specialty/Subspecialty, and Radiology services within the Grady Health system. The role supports staff, hospital personnel, medical staff, and physician offices in a high-volume, fully computerized environment.

You will be expected to type quickly, handle data entry, and provide patient-centered service while upholding accuracy and privacy.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in appointment scheduling, patient access, billing, customer service or health care preferred.
  • Inbound high volume call center experience preferred.
  • Typing minimum 30 WPM.
  • Data entry and customer service skills with clear speaking voice.
  • Knowledge of radiology procedures and exam preparation preferred.
  • Medical assistant or CPAR certifications preferred.
  • Billing preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Job Summary

The Scheduling Representative schedules designated Primary Care, Specialty/Subspecialty, and Radiology outpatient visits within Grady Health system. Performs the scheduling function in a high volume, fully computerized environment. Acts as a professional liaison for staff, other hospital personnel, medical staff, and physician offices.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in appointment scheduling, patient access, billing, customer service or health care is preferred.
  • Inbound high volume call center experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to accurately type a minimum of 30 WPM.
  • Must possess data entry and customer service skills and a clear and present speaking voice.
  • Must possess general knowledge of radiological procedures, exam preparations, exam sequencing, and other related functions.
  • Medical assistant or CPAR certifications preferred.
  • Billing preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Siemens OAS Gold/Siemens Invision health information system, word processing, and spreadsheet programs is preferred.
