Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) in Texas is seeking a Scheduling Manager to lead and develop scheduling teams for EPC construction and utility projects, with a focus on Primavera P6, CPM, and risk-based planning. Based in Spring, TX or West Houston, this in-office role involves travel up to 30% and partnering with project leadership to drive on-time outcomes.

You will oversee complex project schedules, manage earned value and resource-loaded plans, and establish scheduling standards

Qualifications

• 10+ years of planning and scheduling experience in EPC/construction.
• Proven people-management experience leading schedulers and planners.
• Expert Primavera P6 and CPM scheduling capabilities.
• Experience with IMS, cost- and resource-loaded schedules, EVM, and forecasts.
• Strong knowledge of schedule risk analysis, delay analysis and recovery planning.
• Deep understanding of EPC/engineering-construction execution and cross-functional partnership.

We’re looking for a Scheduling Manager to lead and develop high-performing scheduling teams, oversee complex project schedules, and drive consistent planning and execution across EPC and utility construction projects. This role is ideal for a strong scheduling leader with deep Primavera P6 expertise, a background in critical path and resource-loaded scheduling, and the ability to partner with project leadership to manage risk, develop recovery strategies, and deliver successful project outcomes.

What You'll Do

• - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Project Schedulers and Planners, building strong technical capabilities and a culture of accountability.
• - Drive project planning and scheduling strategy across complex EPC and utility infrastructure projects, overseeing Primavera P6, integrated master schedules, baselines, updates, and forecasts.
• - Lead critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, time impact analysis (TIA), and recovery planning to proactively address challenges and protect key milestones.
• - Oversee resource- and cost-loaded schedules, earned value management (EVM), and project controls reporting to provide clear visibility into project performance.
• - Partner with project managers, construction leaders, clients, and subcontractors to resolve constraints, mitigate delays, and keep projects on track.
• - Establish scheduling standards, strengthen processes, and influence project strategy from proposal development and project startup through execution.

What You'll Bring

• - 10+ years of planning and scheduling experience within EPC construction, energy, or infrastructure projects.
• - Demonstrated people-management experience , with direct responsibility for leading, developing, and managing a team of Project Schedulers and Planners, including performance management, coaching, workload planning, and team development.
• - Expert-level Primavera P6 skills and strong critical path method (CPM) expertise.
• - Experience overseeing integrated master schedules, cost- and resource-loaded schedules, earned value management (EVM), and schedule forecasting.
• - Strong knowledge of schedule risk analysis, delay analysis, time impact analysis, and recovery planning.
• - Deep understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction execution, with the ability to partner effectively with project leadership and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• - Experience in utility construction, electric power delivery, transmission and distribution (T&D), substation construction, power generation, or large-scale industrial EPC projects.
• - Familiarity with linear scheduling methods (LSM).
