Job summary

AltaMed Health Services is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator in Los Angeles to manage urgent, routine, and follow-up specialist appointments. You will work with the IDT team to coordinate specialty services and advocate for participants’ needs.

This role requires at least two years in a medical/clinical setting, and experience with referrals/authorizations and electronic health systems. Bilingual abilities are preferred based on location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate preferred.
• Two years minimum experience in the medical/clinical field.
• Experience with referrals/authorizations and an electronic health system.
• Bilingual English, Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate urgent, routine, and follow-up specialist appointments.
• Collaborate with IDT team to coordinate specialty services and advocate for participants.
• Liaise between participant, PCP, PACE Center staff, specialty providers, and Utilization Management to ensure timely access to specialty care.
