TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati's Montgomery area is seeking a Part Time Night Shift Scheduling Coordinator to join the Float Pool team. Under supervision, you will perform centralized scheduling tasks, reception duties, and maintain patient records to support staffing efficiency.

This role focuses on proactive coordination to reduce last‑minute deficits, communicate with nursing managers and unit staff, and provide advanced clerical support including reporting.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Business (Required).
  • Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • 1 - 2 years of clerical experience (Required).
  • Proficient PC skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite & Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills required.
  • Word processing.
  • Spreadsheet.
  • Database development.

Responsibilities

  • Allocates supplemental staffing resources and communicates staff allocation to managers.
  • Coordinates with supervisor, local agency and nursing managers to reduce vacant shifts in advance.
  • Distributes and reviews agency staff evaluations and maintains staff records per regulators.
  • Identifies schedule balance issues and maintains schedules for related staff, including RNs.
  • Proactively coordinates global staffing needs for acute care services.
  • Responsible for traveler intake process and coordinating training and orientation materials.

Part Time Night Shift - TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital

Location:

10500 Montgomery Rd, Montgomery, OH 45242

Work Schedule:

  • Part Time - (48 hours bi-weekly)
  • 4:30pm - 5am
  • 3rd Weekend rotation
  • 3rd Holiday rotation

Job Overview:

Join an upbeat, fast-paced, and collaborative Float Pool team at Bethesda North, where teamwork and service excellence drive everything we do. Under the direction of the supervisor/manager, provides basic Scheduling Coordinator functions related to centralized scheduling activities (ie, scheduling, reception, maintaining patient records). Also provides advanced clerical support (ie reporting), coordinating global staffing needs in the ongoing scheduling cycle. This position works proactively and collaboratively with the applicable patient care units and/or departments to reduce last minute staffing deficits in an effort to minimize the utilization of premium labor. This position demonstrates proficient communication, organizational and work management skills in a highly confidential and sensitive nature.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Allocates supplemental staffing resources, matching skills and expertise to unit needs, updates needs and communicates allocation of staff to managers.
  • Coordinates efforts with supervisor/manager, local agency and nursing managers as applies to reduce vacant shifts proactively in advance of 24 hours prior to the start of the shift. Turns the staffing over to the Daily Staffing Coordinators, communicating effectively any existing issues.
  • Distributes and receives agency staff evaluations on a regular basis. Reviews significant issues with managers of supplemental staffing. Communicates issues to agency for follow-up. Maintains agency staff records that are in compliance with regulators and accrediting bodies' requirements.
  • Identifies and reports significant issues with schedules being balanced and meeting minimum requirements. Creates and maintains schedules for related staff to include RNs.
  • Proactively identifies and coordinates global staffing needs for acute care services. Develops and maintains processes for communicating initial and updated needs.
  • Responsible and accountable for traveler intake process. Coordinates the scheduling of appropriate training and distributes and receives back orientation materials. Interacts with nurse managers, ANM's, and agency representatives throughout the intake process through the duration of the contract. Participates in annual agency/traveler contract reviews.
