Job summary

Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital in Chicago seeks a full-time Staffing Coordinator for the Nursing Department. You will coordinate and execute clinical staff scheduling, prep payroll-related tasks, and provide clerical support to the Director of Nursing.

The role requires strong organization and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting. On-site day shift with flexible hours; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and career development opportunities

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelor's preferred.
• Strong preference for candidates with clinical staffing and healthcare scheduling background.
• Good knowledge of general office systems and organizational skills; word processing required.
• Ability to communicate with hospital staff, physicians, and referrals; multitask effectively.

About Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital

Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital is dedicated to providing behavioral health and psychiatric support to children and teens ages 3 to 17. Job Summary: Coordinates and executes the clinical staff scheduling for the Nursing Department while providing clerical support to the Director of Nursing.

This role serves as the central point for preparing and distributing staffing schedules, managing employee records, and performing payroll duties.

Additional responsibilities include tracking performance evaluations, maintaining departmental keys and manuals, coordinating outside consultations, providing clerical support to House Physicians, and managing office and supply areas.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Day shift (with the ability to work flexible hours)

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.

Work Experience: **Strong preference will be given to candidates with a background in clinical staffing and healthcare scheduling.**

Knowledge: Good overall knowledge of general office systems and excellent organizational skills are essential. Word processing skills are required. Language and communication skills with hospital staff, physicians, community members, referral sources, and others is essential. Must be able to manage multiple tasks.
