Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a results-driven Order Fulfillment professional to optimize scheduling and sequencing for GM car and truck brands. You will drive weekly production orders, collaborate across functions, and ensure accurate dealer submissions while aligning with corporate scheduling initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 4–6 years in supply chain or field roles, with strong analytical skills and GM POMS experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end Order Fulfillment activities related to scheduling and sequencing for GM car and truck brands.
  • Execute weekly product schedules that optimize supply chain schedules, support business objectives, and minimize unplanned costs.
  • Provide assembly plants with accurate weekly production order sequences.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration addressing supplier capacity, assembly plant, and engineering restrictions affecting dealer-facing constraints.
  • Support the Allocation & Dealer Consensus Process and weekly Dealer Order Submission Process.
  • Support corporate scheduling initiatives that optimize cash flow, improve customer satisfaction, and drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Analyze complex scheduling challenges, develop solutions, and communicate direction to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Participate in Order Fulfillment Vertical and Launch Team meetings, contributing insights, driving actions, and summarizing issues and updates.
  • Identify, implement, and share best practices improving scheduling, sequencing, team effectiveness, operational performance, and customer experience.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and feedback for systems, tools, processes, and business capabilities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Consider impacts of decisions on customers, dealers, manufacturing, and supply chain partners.
  • Demonstrate leadership, accountability, adaptability, innovation, inclusion, and customer focus.

Job description

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 4–6 years of experience in field sales, marketing, or supply chain
  • Preferred minimum of 2–3 years supporting Order Fulfillment operational processes
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess changing inputs and make sound business decisions
  • Knowledge of GM Production Order Management System (POMS)
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with GM Logical Language, POMS, Vehicle Description Summary (VDS), and Vehicle Order Guide (VOG)
  • GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship; candidates must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future, including H1-B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1, or similar support
  • Ability to work in the hybrid arrangement and report to the specific location at least 3 times a week or as directed by the manager

Demonstrates expertise in Order Fulfillment processes, including scheduling and sequencing, while leveraging strong analytical skills to optimize supply chain operations and enhance customer satisfaction. Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and implement best practices to improve operational performance.
