Job summary

WSP in the United States is seeking an experienced Scheduler/Planner to join the Project Controls team. This role can sit in South Jordan, UT or Reno, NV and focuses on developing and maintaining integrated schedules with Primavera P6 across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.

You will perform CPM and EVM analyses, manage baselines, and provide TIAs and look-ahead schedules, coordinating with discipline leads.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; PMI-SP or AACE PSP certification is a plus.
  • 5–7 years of scheduling experience on large-scale mining, heavy civil, or EPCM projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, baseline management, resource/cost loading, and schedule risk analysis.
  • Strong understanding of CPM, float analysis, and earned value management (EVM) principles.
  • Experience developing time-impact analyses (TIAs) and supporting project change management processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or equivalent tools for schedule reporting preferred.
  • Ability to communicate complex schedule information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent schedule areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the integrated project schedule in Primavera P6 across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Establish and maintain the baseline schedule with cost loading and progress measurement.
  • Conduct regular schedule status updates with discipline leads and construction teams.
  • Perform critical path, float analysis, and schedule risk assessments.
  • Produce short-interval look-ahead schedules to support field execution planning.
  • Analyze schedule impacts of changes and delays; prepare TIAs as required.
  • Coordinate with cost control to align progress measurement with earned value reporting.
  • Maintain schedule change logs and support claims avoidance through documentation.

This Opportunity

WSP is seeking an experienced Scheduler/Planner to join their Project Controls team. This individual can sit in our WSP locations in either South Jordan UT or Reno NV.

Your Impact
  • Develop and maintain the integrated project schedule in Primavera P6, covering engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities with logic-driven networks.

  • Establish and maintain the approved baseline schedule, including cost loading and progress measurement.

  • Conduct regular schedule status updates with discipline leads and construction teams to capture accurate progress.

  • Perform critical path analysis, float analysis, and schedule risk assessments to identify threats and opportunities.

  • Produce short-interval look-ahead schedules to support field execution planning.

  • Analyze the schedule impact of changes and delays, and prepare time-impact analyses (TIAs) as required.

  • Work closely with cost control to ensure progress measurement is aligned between the schedule and earned value reporting. Communicate schedule drivers, critical path status, and recovery options clearly to project leadership and stakeholders.

  • Maintain schedule change logs and support claims avoidance through rigorous schedule documentation.

Who You Are
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field or equivalent; PMI-SP or AACE PSP certification is a plus.

  • 5–7 years of scheduling experience on large-scale mining, heavy civil, or EPCM projects.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex schedule information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent schedule areas.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $110,000-120,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
