Job summary

Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital is seeking a Scheduler who thrives on organization and teamwork to manage a diverse set of surgical and diagnostic procedures. You will coordinate OR cases, open imaging and infusion appointments, and work closely with patients, physicians, and clinical staff to keep schedules accurate and patient needs aligned.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to handle multiple priorities, and familiarity with scheduling/EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule OR cases and procedures; open Upright MRI, X-ray, CT, and infusion appointments.
• Manage multiple schedules and inpatient care room allocations for overnight patients.
• Answer phones and provide professional, patient-focused service.
• Create, document and assign procedure codes for patients, physicians and procedures.
• Communicate with multiple departments to ensure schedules and patient needs are aligned.

Job description

We’re looking for a Scheduler who enjoys staying organized, working with people, and keeping multiple moving pieces on track. In this role, you’ll coordinate a variety of surgical and diagnostic procedures while working closely with patients, physicians, and clinical teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Coordinate and schedule a variety of OR cases and procedures; Open Upright MRI, X-ray, CT, and infusion appointments
• Manage multiple schedules and coordinate Inpatient Care Rooms for overnight patients
• Answer phones and provide helpful, professional service to patients and team members
• Create, document, and assign procedure codes for patients, physicians, and procedures
• Communicate with multiple departments to make sure schedules are accurate and patient needs are coordinated
• Keep information organized and up to date while balancing changing priorities
  

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS:

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One or more years of medical experience, including familiarity with medical terminology, highly preferred
• One or more years of experience with insurance and managed-care contracts preferred
• AHA CPR certification required; can be obtained after hire
  

SHIFTS

Five 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-5:30PM.

No Weekends. No On-Call. No Holidays.
