Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital is seeking a full-time Nursing Assistant to join our clinical team. You will support the nursing staff with vital signs, glucose testing, and personal care while assisting with nutrition and specimen collection.

The role includes EKGs, venipuncture, and maintaining a clean, organized unit. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Positivity, a great work ethic, and the ability to learn will help set you up for success.
• Nursing assistant or patient care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic patient care tasks under RN supervision, including vital signs and glucose testing.
• Assist with personal care, nutrition, transport blood products, and conduct EKGs/venipuncture.
• Maintain unit cleanliness, provide administrative support, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Job description

Join our team as a full-time Nursing Assistant, where you'll collaborate closely with our nursing team to deliver exceptional patient care! This role performs basic patient care tasks under Registered Nurse supervision; vital sign monitoring, blood glucose testing, and assisting with personal care needs. You'll support patient nutrition, transport blood products, conduct EKGs and venipuncture, and maintain unit cleanliness and organization. Additionally, you'll provide administrative support, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Monday - Friday Schedule

Five 8-hour shifts - varied start times each day between 5:30AM-11:30AM.

NO HOLIDAYS. NO ON-CALL. NO WEEKENDS.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Positivity, a great work ethic, and the ability to learn will help set you up for success!
• Nursing assistant or patient care experience is a plus!
• CNA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required; can be obtained upon hire.
