  • 1-2 years of staffing experience preferred but not required.

Job description

Valley View Village, a 5-star rated senior care campus, has a rare opening for a Full-Time Scheduler/LPN to join our team. In this role, you will schedule clinical staff, manage employee attendance, and interview candidates to create a great team and culture at Valley View Village.

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and rotating on call weekends.

Scheduler/LPN Skills and Requirements:
  • Must have an understanding of clinical scheduling
  • 1-2+ years of prior staffing/scheduling experience preferred but not required
  • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Iowa
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Excellent customer service skills
Scheduler/LPN Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate schedule and staffing levels for the nursing department
  • Provide clerical support to nursing management
  • Interview and hire candidates for open nursing positions
  • Conduct reference checks and background checks for potential employees
  • Track continuing educational programs for staff
  • Create training plans for new nursing staff
  • Complete daily budget report for all nursing hours
  • Track attendance and complete disciplinary action forms
  • Complete payroll and manage time clock errors
  • Order and distribute nursing supplies in a cost effective manner
  • Perform additional tasks as needed
