Job summary

Axis CLC Group is seeking a highly organised Scheduler to join our Repairs and Maintenance team. You’ll plan and schedule repairs and maintenance works, acting as the central communications hub between residents, operatives, supervisors and client teams.

You’ll drive efficient workloads, prioritise tasks, and ensure updates across all systems while delivering a high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in scheduling, planning, administration or high-volume customer service.
• Experience within social housing, repairs or maintenance environments.
• Knowledge of repairs terminology and KPIs.
• Proficient with scheduling systems and IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to residents, handling enquiries, bookings and appointment changes.
• Plan, schedule and manage repairs and maintenance works efficiently.
• Allocate and update jobs using scheduling systems (ROCC, DRS, Opti-time).
• Coordinate daily workloads with supervisors and operatives.
• Manage emergencies and priority works, escalating after-hours when required.
• Monitor progress and close jobs within target timescales.
• Ensure operatives use PDAs and digital systems.
• Act as the communication link between residents, operatives and client teams.
• Maintain accurate records and updates across systems.
• Support the wider scheduling team during absences.

The Role

We’re looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Scheduler to join our Repairs and Maintenance team.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll play a key role in planning and scheduling repairs and maintenance works, ensuring operatives’ time is used productively while delivering a high-quality service to residents and clients. You’ll act as a central point of communication between residents, operatives, supervisors and client teams, helping to keep works moving smoothly from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to residents, handling enquiries, bookings and appointment changes.
• Plan, schedule and manage repairs and maintenance works efficiently, maximising operative productivity.
• Allocate and update jobs using scheduling and job management systems (e.g. ROCC, DRS, Opti-time).
• Work closely with supervisors and operatives to coordinate daily workloads and optimise routes.
• Manage emergency and priority works appropriately, escalating to out-of-hours services only when required.
• Monitor work in progress, ensuring jobs are progressed and closed within target timescales.
• Ensure operatives are correctly using and updating PDAs and digital systems.
• Act as the key communication link between residents, operatives and client teams.
• Maintain accurate records, notes and job updates across all systems.
• Support the wider scheduling team, providing cover during absences where required.

About You

• IT literate, with confidence using scheduling and job management systems.
• Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a busy environment.
• Experience in scheduling, planning, administration or high-volume customer service/call handling.
• Experience within social housing, repairs or maintenance environments.
• Knowledge of repairs and maintenance terminology and KPIs.
• Experience using systems such as ROCC, Opti-time or DRS.
