Job summary

Enloe Health in Chico, California, is seeking a Scheduler for the Radiology department. Under the direction of the Manager, Radiology, you will coordinate patient appointments, maintain confidentiality, and support front office functions.

The role requires strong telephone and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook, to schedule imaging and interventional procedures accurately. Shift is PM, 11am–7:30pm, with Saturdays and Sundays off.

Qualifications

• One year experience utilizing clerical, computer, and receptionist skills or 6 months hospital experience.
• One year of experience doing patient scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for radiology procedures under Radiology Manager guidance.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
• Cross-train and rotate with front office receptionist duties as needed.
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook for scheduling and support tasks.

$23.09 - $29.56

Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Manager, Radiology, the Scheduler performs their duties in a professional and organized manner requiring minimal supervision. The Scheduler must maintain strict confidentiality in all matters pertaining to patients of Enloe Medical Center. (They cross train and rotate with front office reception and clerk duties which require independent judgment.)

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

• One year experience utilizing clerical, computer, and receptionist skills or 6 months hospital experience
• One year of experience doing patient scheduling

Desired:

• Medical terminology
• One year Radiology experience or medical experience
• One year of experience patient scheduling in medical imaging and interventional radiology exams and procedures.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current CPR Certification

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Must have excellent telephone communication skills and interpersonal skills to maintain a high degree of rapport with patients, co-workers, physicians and the public. Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Capable of using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite) for a variety of support functions. Knowledge of filing systems. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must show sensitivity for the patient and family, and maintain strict confidentiality. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
