Job summary

Qualifications

In this role, you will coordinate patient schedules to streamline each patient's time on campus and ensure a seamless experience. You will serve as a key resource for patients and their families, providing support in person, over the phone, and through electronic medical records. Additionally, you will address questions and concerns, escalating issues as appropriate to ensure exceptional patient care and service.

Job Responsibilities:

• Schedule patients for appointments, procedures and services by utilizing the computerized scheduling system in an accurate, efficient manner.
• Communicate information to patients for procedures, diagnostic imaging, future appointments, outside appointments, or changes in appointments, and respond to questions, concerns, or behaviors.
• Evaluate dynamic patient needs; revise and coordinate care schedules as necessary.
• Document and communicate with other team members on changing care needs of patients.
• Assess, investigate, and report problems, patient/ physician/ office/ departmental complaints, or unusual situations to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain current knowledge of computer program changes, updates, rebuilds, and super-user status, as well as regulatory compliance requirements.
• Represent the Scheduling department in clinical rounds, in-services, care team meetings, committees, and joint projects as a representative of the Scheduling department.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance Consistently meet job expectations, adhere to policies, and deliver quality work while applying.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

Associate’s degree in Business or relevant degree required.

Minimum Experience:

2+ years of experience. Clinical background (LPN, Technical training, BSN) preferred.

Compensation In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $24.00 - $42.00 per hour for the role of Scheduler I.
