Job summary

Cancer Care Northwest in Spokane Valley is seeking a full-time Radiation Scheduler to coordinate appointments, tests, and referrals for cancer care.

You will answer calls, register new patients, obtain pre-certifications, and schedule procedures in the office scheduling system.

A high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of office experience are required; prior medical office experience is preferred.

Inner Pacific Alliance for Cancer Care is hiring a full time Radiation Scheduler responsible for scheduling patient appointments and tests in an efficient and timely manner. Answers incoming calls and directs calls to appropriate personnel as needed. Serves as a liaison between patients and medical staff. Schedules outpatient appointments, referrals, testing, hospital surgeries and hospital admissions upon request. Obtains necessary pre-certification as required. Schedules return appointments in computer system in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines. Cancels/reschedules appointments according to physician schedule changes and in accordance with office guidelines; notifies appropriate clinic personnel. Handles new patient referrals, gathers necessary information, registers new patients in computer and schedules appointment.

Qualifications

• a High School Diploma or a General Education Degree


• five (3) years' office experience

Preferred

• previous medical office experience
