Job summary

New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. is seeking a Materials/Production Controller to coordinate the flow of materials and product from raw components through shipping to the customer. This role streamlines scheduling, expediting, and cross-department information exchange.

You will partner with manufacturing, planners, and quality to keep production moving, manage cycle counts, and ensure accurate records while adhering to procedures.

• Read, reference and interpret written and verbal instructions; always following established standard procedures
• Maintain necessary records; work is subject to audited inspections

• Process MDR's and DMR's to ensure continuous product flow
• Use MAPICS to perform transactions, perform cycle counts, and split lots as needed
• Partner with Planners to understand current and projected issues, and recommend resolutions
• Offload pending jobs from work areas to reduce bottlenecking and maximize efficiency
• Maintain proficiency and understanding of the responsibilities for material handling, cribs, shipping, and receiving

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with manufacturing teams to optimize the production to meet customer and business needs
• Process MDR's and DMR's to ensure continuous product flow
• Use MAPICS to perform transactions, perform cycle counts, and split lots as needed
• Partner with Planners to understand current and projected issues, and recommend resolutions
• Offload pending jobs from work areas to reduce bottlenecking and maximize efficiency
• Maintain proficiency and understanding of the responsibilities for material handling, cribs, shipping, and receiving

Job Skills & Abilities:

Education and Experience:

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two (2) years' manufacturing or Production Control experience.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing areas and capabilities

Physical Requirements:

• May include: standing, walking, bending, reaching, grabbing, twisting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.

Working Hours are 2:00 pm to 10:00 PM
