New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. (NHBB) is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to repair and maintain plant structures, fixtures, grounds, and utilities in support of manufacturing operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with facility equipment, basic CMMS use, and the ability to work independently or with partners. The position includes overtime and rotating weekend on-call duties, with a competitive pay range and full benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in facilities maintenance at a manufacturing company or closely related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on facility machinery and equipment, including air compressors, boilers, HVAC, and wash equipment.
• Support building improvement projects such as plumbing, metal fabrication, carpentry, and painting; operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely.
• Handle chemicals and oils, manage hazardous wastes, apply PPE, and ensure proper labeling per regulations.
• Maintain maintenance records; report unusual conditions; follow safety rules; keep work areas clean and organized.
• Assist with general maintenance including cleaning, trash removal, and floor care to maintain a safe environment.
• Be available for planned and emergency overtime and participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule.

Job Summary:

Responsible for repair and maintenance of physical structures, fixtures, grounds, machinery, plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems, and all utilities in support of business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and Preventative Maintenance (PM) services on facility machinery and equipment such as air compressors, boilers, HVAC systems, wash equipment, coolant filtration systems, or mist collector systems.
• Support building improvement projects including plumbing, metal fabrication, carpentry, painting and similar duties. Requires safe operation of forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Handles a variety of chemicals and oils, including hazardous wastes. Utilizes proper PPE and equipment. Ensures proper labeling per state and federal requirements.
• Maintain necessary maintenance records. Detect and report unusual conditions and problems to proper supervisor. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations. Keep work area in clean and orderly condition.
• Assist with general maintenance including cleaning, sweeping, trash removal, mopping of oil - to ensure a clean and safe environment
• Available to work planned and emergency overtime and participates in a rotating weekend on-call schedule

Job Skills & Abilities:

• Mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer skills required e.g. sending emails, utilizing CMMS software via tablet or desktop
• Ability to work independently, or as a part of a team with internal and external partners
• Communicates effectively with written, oral, and verbal direction
• Safely operates hand tools and basic power tools

Education and Experience:

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Facilities maintenance at a manufacturing company or closely related industry preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, grabbing, twisting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
