Job summary

FastTek Global in Saginaw, MI is seeking a Contractor Scheduler to coordinate daily work and resource planning for the assigned unit. You\'ll establish and execute a daily plan, organize dispatches, and communicate across teams.

The role requires strong organizational skills, ability to handle urgent situations, and proficiency with MS Office and Excel. An associate\'s degree is typically sufficient, while a bachelor\'s degree may be preferred; utilities experience is beneficial but not required.

Qualifications

• Schedulers typically need at least an associate's degree in management or a relevant field; a bachelor's degree may be preferred.
• Experience in the utility industry is beneficial, but not required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule and support daily work and planning of resources specific to the assigned business unit.
• Establish and execute a daily plan for the work; may include organizing and dispatching assignments, facilitating meetings, short-range forecasting, etc.
• Communicate effectively inline with supported business unit processes/procedures; may include interacting with supervision, field operations, or other operational supporting groups.
• Utilize various systems to monitor work, create/submit orders and requests, observe data and make scheduling adjustments as necessary.
• Support emergent matters inline with the business units processes/procedures; may include escalations, volume monitoring, etc.

Duties:

• The Contractor Scheduler is responsible for the coordination, scheduling and support of daily work and planning of resources specific to the assigned business unit.
• Establish and execute a daily plan for the work; may include organizing and dispatching assignments, facilitating meetings, short-range forecasting, etc.
• Communicate effectively inline with supported business unit processes/procedures; may include interacting with supervision, field operations, or other operational supporting groups.
• Utilize various systems to monitor work, create/submit orders and requests, observe data and make scheduling adjustments as necessary. Some roles may require a deeper dive into data review to make appropriate modifications.
• Support emergent matters inline with the business units processes/procedures; may include escalations, volume monitoring, etc.
